WEVax Transportation Program

The Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce the extension of the WEVax Transportation Program thanks to High Priority Community Funding (HPC) from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.  Additional support for this program from HPC funding will extend the program.

People living in designated "Hot Spot" zones who are unable to coordinate their own transportation due to financial, physical or other challenges will continue to have access to complimentary taxi service to and from vaccine clinics.

Live in a "Hot Spot" zone and need transportation to a local vaccination clinic?

"Hot Spot" postal codes in Windsor are currently identified as;  N8X, N8Y, N9A, N9B and N9C.  All residents living in Windsor hot spots MUST book their appointment at a Windsor vaccination clinic to be eligible for free transportation.

"Hot Spot" postal codes in Leamington are currently identified as; N8H and N9Y.  All residents living in Leamington hot spots MUST book their appointment at a Leamington vaccination clinic to be eligible for free transportation.

Windsor and Essex County residents living in “Hot Spot” areas who have been scheduled for a vaccine can contact Vets Cab at (519) 256-2621 or  Sun Parlor Taxi at (519) 326-9063 to take advantage of the Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce program and arrange free transportation.  Residents who require wheelchair accessible taxi services can contact Checker Cabs at (519) 254-7777.

Transportation from Windsor to Leamington is not included in free transportation program.

Passengers may drop children off at a day care / childcare provider (can be family/friend who provides daycare) on the way to the vaccination clinic.
